Junior

“I am from water on the brain”

From a flooded brain at birth

From big feet and a skinny body

I am from comic books and sketches

And “I draw because words are too limited”

I am from empty wallets and empty stomachs

And “...poverty only teaches you how to be poor”

I am from my best friend Rowdy

From a hopeless Spokane Indian reservation

Rowdy

I am from fist fights

From bruised and bloody face

From drunks

I am from black eyes

And split lips

And “It’s war paint, it makes you look tougher”

I am from Anger

And “I hate you, you suck, white lover.”

I am from my best friend Junior

From a dead family

And a dead life 

Those characters represent leadership because they power through tough times. Junior is a leader because he stays positive all the time.
